Robert N. Roberts passed away on August 4, 2006. "He found the common daylight sweet." Born in Georgia on February 2, 1919, Bob carried his Southern charm with him throughout his life. His ready smile and humor warmed all who crossed his path. In 1948 he moved to Los Alamos, NM as a Chemist with LANL. From then on, his heart, body and soul rejoiced in New Mexico. He retired from Sandia Labs in 1988, but his love of his field, his faith in things scientific, and his quest for knowledge never did. "Now, a promise made is a debt unpaid, and the trail has its own stern code." Bob passed away peacefully at his home with his cats, while watching the sun rise over the Sandias.
