Obituary for OLIN

CAROLINE L. Longtime Albuquerque resident, Caroline L. Olin, 77, passed after a brief illness. She was preceded by her parents, Clifford and Lura Lilly Berg, and her husband, William "Bill" Olin. She is survived by her sister, Christine Arhelger; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Harrell; nieces and their families. Born and raised in Grand Forks, ND, she graduated from the University of North Dakota having won top scholastic honors and Phi Beta Kappa membership. A 1952 graduate of the University of New Mexico Law School, she was admitted to the New Mexico State Bar and married Bill Olin. She enjoyed a diverse legal career and attained a vice presidency of a mortgage loan company, entered into a private partnership practice with Ann Wilcox Hood and eventually developed an independent general law practice. She enjoyed court work and in her own words, "when I win, I love it." Mrs. Olin was active in local, state and national bar associations. She served as President of the Duke City Business and Professional Women and held various positions with the Soroptomists. At Mrs. Olin's request there will be no services.
