Carroll J. Lee, 80, a resident of Albuquerque since 1946, died Monday, July 24, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis Lee of Albuquerque; daughters, Leslie Arruti and husband, Mike of Albuquerque, Marsha Lee and partner, John Gerleman of San Francisco, CA, and Sandra Warrick and husband, Phil of Albuquerque; six grandchildren, Shawn Arruti and wife, Ginger of Las Vegas, NV, Chez Werner and husband, Scott of Wildomar, CA, Duane Arruti and wife, Jennifer of Albuquerque, Phil Warrick, Jr. and wife, Tory of Waverly, NE, Scott Warrick and wife, Brenda of Crolles, France, and Matt Warrick of West Des Moines, IA; 14 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Autumn, Gage, Hunter, Devin, Damian, Alec, Quinn, Tess, Lauren, Madison, Eden, Catherine, and Ingrid. Mr. Lee was a retired Certified Public Accountant. He served in the U.S. Navy on the Mt. McKinley in the South Pacific (Bikini Atoll and Marshall Islands) for the first Atomic tests. Mr. Lee helped establish the New Mexico Oil and Gas Commission and served as their Executive Director. He also helped to establish the New Mexico Department of Automated Data Processing and served as their first Executive Director. Mr. Lee worked as the Head Comptroller and Associate V.P. for Business and Finance at the University of New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2006, at 10:00 a.m., at Christ the Ray of Hope Lutheran Church, 7001 San Antonio Dr. NE.
