Obituary for HERRERA

Richard L. S. Herrera, 63, passed away in the loving presence of his family on Tuesday, July 25, 2006 after a brief hospitalization. He is survived by his wife, Diana L. Herrera; his son, Brian Herrera with partner, Michael Quanci; and his daughter, Saudi Herrera with boyfriend, Kim Mansfield. Richard is also survived by his mother, Nellie Herrera of Santa Fe; mother-in-law, Ida Ehrman of Cedar Crest; sisters, Lorraine Herrera of Santa Fe and Emily Pacheco and brother-in-law, Richard of Santa Fe; brother, Roy Herrera and sister-in-law, Anna Mae of Pecos; brother, Paul Herrera and sister-in-law, Cora of Santa Fe; as well as many adored nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Evangelista "Tita" Trujillo; as well as his father, Max Herrera; and father-in-law, Edward F. Ehrman. Born and raised in Las Vegas, NM, Richard made the East Mountains his home for the last 35 years. He leaves behind a vast family of friends from across the globe, as well as many treasured friends and colleagues at Albuquerque's Technical Vocational Institute; Bechtel Corporation in Jubail, Saudi Arabia; Northern New Mexico Community College; and the Rio Rancho Public School District. Friends may visit at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Thursday, July 27, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE.
