Guadalupe R. Ortega, age 84, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather was called to his eternal home by the Lord our Savior, Saturday, July 22, 2006. He was preceded in death by his parents Estanislado and Eudelia Ortega; five brothers Mike, Eloy, Estanislado, Jr., Lee, and Anthony Ortega. Guadalupe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mercedes Ortega of the family home; ten sons: Homer and wife, Rosella, Reynaldo and wife, Consuelo, Ramon and wife, Leonela, David and wife, Veronica, Omar and fiancee, Christina, Michael and wife, Leanne, Eloy and fiancee, Corey, Eldo and wife, Rosy, Orly and wife, Carleen, and Mark and wife, Virginia Ortega; 23 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are six brothers: Oscar, Rene, Joel, Jorge, Reynaldo, and Tomas Ortega; four sisters: Margarita, Alicia, Esther, and Graciela; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Guadalupe will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. Visitations will be Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of the Alameda Mortuary; where Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Jay Sparks officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Ortega, Billy Santos, Matt Cline, Gabriel Perez, Jerry Montano, Rick Herrera, Michael Ortega Jr., Ryan Santos, Phillip Montoya, and Tony Garcia.
