Mary V. Benson, age 92, born in Green Forest, AR in 1914, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2006 in Albuquerque, NM. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Reo J. Benson, in 1993. She is survived by four children; Douglas Benson of Manhattan, KS, Karen Benson of Omaha, NE; Donald Benson of Seattle, WA, and Pattie Timmons of Deming, NM; two grandchildren, Eric Benson of Wamego, KS, and Craig Benson of Columbia, MO; and two great-grandchildren, Margaret and Josephine Benson of Wamego, KS. A long-time resident of Taos, NM, she and her husband retired in Albuquerque in 1982. The Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Amber Care Hospice, 5100 Indian School Rd. NE, Albuquerque, NM, 87110 or to the charity of your choice.
