Nellie P. McQueary Jernigan, 90, passed away, Sunday, July 9, 2006 in Albuquerque. She was born September 24, 1915 in Pilot Point, TX, a daughter of Carl Jasper and Nellie Ann Daniels McQueary. She married William Mark Jernigan, June 10, 1944 in Tucumcari, NM. Nellie was a long-time resident of New Mexico. Survivors include three sons: Bill Jernigan, Bosque, NM; Robert Jernigan, Albuquerque, NM; Dan (Beverly) Jernigan, Rio Rancho, NM; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister: Mae McClendon, Hollis, OK, Clyde McQueary, Albuquerque, NM, W.L. "Mac" (Cleo) McQueary, Amarillo, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Pearl Gatlin, and Ruby Wilson. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Rio Rancho, 3906 19th Ave. SE, Rio Rancho (Corner of 19th and HWY 528). Friends may visit Wednesday at French Mortuary Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, 924 Menaul NE., Thursday at 12:30 p.m. Pallbearers include Nick Jernigan, Mark Gatewood, Jeremy Gatewood, Robert Jernigan Jr., Dan Jernigan Jr., Jack Corder.
