Robert McNeil Hamilton "Bobby Hambone" aged 67, of Las Vegas, NV, passed away June 30, 2006 at his home after a year long battle with cancer with his wife of 43 years, Marilyn comforting him by his side. In 1975, Robert and Marilyn headed west to Albuquerque, NM where they both were employed by the U.S. Postal Service. Robert became president of Albuquerque Postal Clerk Union. After six years of successful negotiations and positive changes he declined to run again and pursued a career in management. Robert was promoted to Supervisor in Mail Distribution. In 1987 he went over to Customer Service, retiring in 1997 after 31 years of service. Robert and Marilyn then relocated to Las Vegas, NV where they enjoyed retirement and continued traveling to the Caribbean often. He is survived by his devoted wife, Marilyn; adopted sister, Sharon; brothers-in-law, John, Don, Lester, Charles, Brian, Francisco, Robert, Bob; and sisters-in-law, Beverly, Hillary, Denise, Peachie, Diane, Ann, Roberta, Bertha, and Millie; as well as 31 nephews; 35 grand-nephews and -nieces.
