Betty A. Gallegos, age 61, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2006 in Albuquerque. She was born on February 14, 1945 in Las Vegas, NM, to Robert and Constance Brown. She was preceded in death by her father; aunt, Evelyn and uncle, Louis Roybal. She is survived by her mother; sister, Barbara Lee Simpier; husband, Onofre Gallegos; sons, Erik Gallegos and wife, Adrienne, and Stephen Gallegos and wife, Angie; daughter, Marilyn Gallegos; seven grandchildren, Ysabela, Catalina, Anthony, Devon, Piper, Zoe and Miranda Gallegos; aunts and uncles, Ruth and James Roseberry, and Edward and Mary Catherine Brown; cousins, Alex and Karen Wiese, Jimmy Roseberry, Kathy and Frank Hernandez, Judy and Randy Simpson, and Janet and Don Chandler; and many loving nephews and nieces. She considered her many loving brothers and sisters-in-law as her own brothers and sisters. She will be dearly missed by all her family and many friends and remembered for her gentleness, kind heartedness, and her warm smile. Betty was a retired dental hygienist of 31 years. A visitation will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2006, 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, July 10, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. Interment will follow at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joseph Chavez, John Gallegos, Jose Maestas, Bill Togle, Nick Naranjo, and Mark Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be George Cordova and Mark Rogers.
