Alfredo C. (Pete) Sintas, age 77, passed away July 4, 2006 in Raton, NM, the son of Alfredo and Rosarito Peralta Sintas. He was born November 29, 1928 in Capulin, NM. He was preceded in death by his brother, Gilbert Sintas; son-in-law, Jeffrey Wagner; infant daughter, Rosa Lynn Sintas; and great-grandson, Ki-Johna Sintas-Garcia. Pete was a resident of Raton, a member of St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church, a lifetime member of the VFW, served in the Korean Conflict, and was a musician, mechanic, and welder. He is survived by his wife, Stella Sintas of Raton; daughters, Connie L. Asuncion of Manassas, VA; Conchita M. Sintas of Albuquerque; Janet E. Laros and husband, Jim of Albuquerque; sons, Alfred Ray Sintas and wife, Mary Ann of Raton; Gary Sintas and wife, Joan of Raton; Pete Sintas and wife, Veronica of Raton; and Ronald Sintas and wife, Janette of Orlando, Florida; sister, Mary Pino and husband, Tony of Pueblo, CO; brother, Andres Sintas of Pueblo, CO; Mike Sintas and wife, Caroline of Colorado Springs; Frank Sintas and wife, Della of Colorado Springs; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, and his faithful K-9 companion, Boy. The Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will take place Friday, July 7, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Patrick-St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Rite of Committal and interment will follow at the Des Moines Cemetery in Des Moines, New Mexico. Funeral arrangements for Alfredo C. (Pete) Sintas are under the direction of the Alderette-Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.
