Dawn Lucile Johnson, 42, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past six years, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2006 while vacationing in Sliema, Malta. Dawn was born May 25, 1964 the daughter of Frank and Margaret Koehler Johnson in Rochester, NY. She had been a High School teacher before her death. Dawn is survived her parents, Frank and Peggy Johnson; one son, Jesse Karpien; two daughters, Amy Henderson and Shauna Johnson; one brother, Vaughn Johnson; and one nephew, Justin Johnson, all of Rio Rancho, NM. A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2006 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Service for Dawn will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, with Pastor Chuck Bader officiating. Cremation will follow Services. Interment will be in Vista Verde Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Great West Division Inc., Sandoval Unit, P.O.
