Sophia Garcia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2006. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cirilio Garcia Sr.; her sons, Gilbert Garcia, Cirilio Garcia Jr., and Leopoldo Garcia; granddaughter, Celina Navarro; and grandson, Francisco Yardman; and granddaughter Maria Elena Yardman. Sophia is survived by her children, Nestora Rodriguez and husband, Juan, Mary Padilla and husband, Pete, Angie Sandoval and husband, Howard, Mary Helen Yardman and husband, Lee, Nancy Gallegos and George Navarro and wife, Tomasita; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Sophia loved traveling, camping, fishing, and going to Wal-Mart. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Rosary was recited on Friday, June 30, 2006, 7:00 p.m., at our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated Saturday, July 1, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Robert Rodriguez, Lawrence Padilla, Lorenzo Yardman, Leonard Sandoval, Damian Navarro, and Gilbert Garcia.
