Alice May Grove, 71, died at her home on Wednesday, June 21, 2006. She was born in White Plains, NY on July 30, 1934 to Thomas L. and LaVerne (Purdy) Ward. Alice was self-employed in the restaurant industry. She was involved with the Sierra Vista Hospital Ladies Auxiliary; a volunteer at the meal site; a member of the former Community Theater; participated in the County and State Senior Olympics; a member of the Little Theater in Tucson in 1981 and the Little Theater in T. or C. until 1997. She loved to travel. Alice was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Randall Schlemmer. She is survived by her husband, Vernon N. Grove of T. or C.; step-daughters, Robyn Inman and husband, Randy of Spring Branch, TX, Mary Ann Schalles and husband, Dennis of Picayune, MS; daughters, Nancy Beach of Vandalia, OH, Tracey Wolever and husband, Bret of Tucson, AZ; brother, Thomas L. Ward, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; sister, Laverne Ayers and husband, Robert of Kent, CT; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Cremation will take place. Private interment will be at Vista Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Kirikos Family Funeral Home, Inc. and Sierra Crematory, LLC (T. or C.)
