Mattye Jim Skidmore, born May 14, 1914, passed away peacefully Monday, June 19, 2006. She was the mother of Martha Catherine, Jimmie Beth, Francine Ione, Mary Jean, and Dorie Ann. She was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. A native of Waco, TX, she married Frank Skidmore March 15, 1935 in El Paso, TX. He preceded her in death on December 11, 1999. She now is able to be with her true love. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her never ending worrying about her kids and her soft skin that never saw the sun. But above all, she will be remembered for being the best mom and G-Mom there ever was. Graveside Services will be held Thursday, June 22, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. She will then be home with our dad and G-Dad.
