Jon Robert Alonzo died May 31, 2006. He is survived by his father, Fritz Alonzo; by his children: Tiffany, Christopher, Brittany, and Jonathon; and Jon's close friend, Leta Salazar of Chimayo. Jon is brother to Richard and his two sisters are Jacqueline and Marie Catherine. Jon will be remembered by his many relatives in Albuquerque and at Isleta and Laguna Pueblos. Other close relatives reside in Indiana and Kentucky. Jon was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping out; but he enjoyed most the simple things in life. His kind, gentle and mild manners will be greatly missed. Jon was preceded in death by his mother (on November 19, 2005). Jon helped with her care and feeding during the 11 years of her disability after her stroke. Jon kept her smiling with his wonderful sense of humor. Jon's Memorial Service will be June 24, 2006 at 11 a.m. at Queen of Angels Chapel, 12th and I-40. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.
