Obituary for DENNIS

Mary C. Fiske Dennis, 63, a longtime Albuquerque resident passed away peacefully after an extended illness June 9, 2006. Mary was born March 1, 1943 to Evelyn and Lionel (Bud) Fiske in Saint Charles, Illinois. She had one brother Lionel Fiske. Mary was preceded in death by both parents and her brother. Mary is a 1961 graduate of Albuquerque High School, and attended both the University of New Mexico and the University of Maryland. After a number of years on the East Coast, she returned to New Mexico in 1981, living in Albuquerque and Roswell. She and William Dennis were married in December 1990. In addition to her enthusiasm and generous spirit, Mary was noted for her prize winning baking and sewing, winning numerous ribbons and the prestigious New Mexico State Fair Governor's Cookie Jar contest. She is survived by her husband William Dennis; nephew Lionel B. Fiske; great-niece Jennifer Fiske and great-nephew L. David Fiske; her aunt Lorna Powers of Wheaton, Illinois and cousin Thomas Powers of Lisle, Illinois. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, June 13, 2006, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2006, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will take place at Old Saltillo Cemetery in Satillo, Texas on Saturday, June 17, 2006. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
