Obituary for WASSON

Arthur Wasson, 81 years old, a long-time resident of Albuquerque and a life-long resident of New Mexico, went to be with our Lord Monday, June 5, 2006. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Carrie Sue Wasson; sister, Rose Gonzales; brothers, James Wasson and wife, Viola and Joseph Wasson and wife, Josie; also surviving are many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie in 2004 and by his beloved son, Michael in 2003. Arthur was a Navy veteran who served in World War II and he was a member of the American Legion Post 13 where he was employed for a number of years. A Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Deacon Ruben Barela reciting. Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 9:30 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Church, 5312 Claremont Ave. NE. Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, June 12, 2006, 10:30 a.m. Pallbearers will be Larry Gonzales, John Gonzales, Thomas Wasson, Samuel Wasson, Joseph Wasson Jr., and Jonathon Wasson. Honorary pallbearers will be Margaret Gutierrez, April Silva, Julie Atler, Rick Gonzales, James Wasson, and Jerome Wasson.
