Obituary for TRUJILLO

Ernest "Ernie" R. Trujillo, 50, a native New Mexican and a resident of Rio Rancho, passed away on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Ernie was born on October 5, 1955, the son of Jose S. and Ida Romero Trujillo in Fairview, NM. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents. Ernie will always be remembered for his joyful personality and his love for life and people. He was an accomplished musician, and was very active in the music ministry of several churches. Ernie was employed as an Ombudsman for the State of New Mexico, Workmen's Compensation division where he had many dear friends and co-workers. Ernie is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janis " Jan" Trujillo of Rio Rancho; one daughter, Rachael Trujillo; four brothers, Henry, George, Santiago, and Paul Trujillo; and four sisters, Doreen Lowery, Maria-Rae Desmond, Rebecca Hillman, and Stella Trujillo; and 11 nieces and nephews, Dave, Brian, and Meghan Lowery; Michelle Garrett and Francine Desmond; Jessica Sisneros; Katie Trujillo and Karen Montano; Ron and Susie Trujillo, and Nancy Trujillo; and Paul Anthony Trujillo; along with numerous grand-nieces and -nephews. A visitation will be held today, Thursday, June 8, 2006 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd., Rio Rancho, with the Rosary being recited at 1:00 p.m. and the Mass of Resurrection being celebrated at 1:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Pallbearers will be Dusty Lowery, Brian Lowery, David Lowery, Darryl Gutierrez, Jason Sisneros, and Bill Hubbell. Honorary Pallbearer is Wilfred Romero. Cremation will follow services and Interment will be in Vista Verde Memorial Park on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Memory of Ernest Trujillo at any Bank of America Acct. #004390535155 or Los Alamos National Bank Acct. #44312301.
