Obituary for RAMIREZ

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday June 08, 2006

In loving memory of: Vera Ann Ramirez June 5, 1959 - June 4, 2006 My mother was the most loving, caring, compassionate, generous woman you could have ever gotten to know, but it didn't just stop there. She was also the daughter who loved and would have given anything for her parents' well-being and happiness, as well as succeeding to be the very best friend two sisters and a brother could ever have. She was also a very proud aunt to her nieces and nephews, and a proud sister to her special brothers-in-law, whom she loved very dear in her heart. Not only did my mother's devotion, care, and love surround her family, she also devoted her love, life, compassion and talent to each and every one of her patients for 25 years as healthcare provider. There is where her heart and soul helped others survive, cope and feel better, not only about themselves, but about others and the world itself. She encouraged them to live and to hold on to life. To me, as her daughter, it saddens me to know that the world has lost a gem from God, but it also enlightens my heart to know that she is back in heaven waiting to guide my family, me, and anyone else who may need guidance along the way. To me my mother will always be my courage, life, strength and above all, my hero. She will never be forgotten, especially by those whose lives she touched and became a part of. Be in glory with God, mom, you will never be forgotten and we will see you again. Love, your daughter. Vera is survived by her daughter, Angelica Marie Ramirez; parents, Robert and Eloisa Gonzales; brother, Joseph Paul Gonzales; sisters, Joan and husband, Tony Santistevan, and Dolores and husband, Martin Moore; nieces and nephews, Robyn, Erin, Anthony, Amanda, Robert, and Matthew; and great-nephew, Jeremiah. A Rosary for Vera will be recited on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Holy Family Catholic Church where the Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
