Obituary for DUDLEY

Shella S. age 43 of Albuquerque, passed away Friday June 2, 2006. Shella was born January 30, 1963 in Fort Smith, AR., the daughter of Lewis and Marilyn Spencer. She married Doug Dudley on June 7, 1986 in Casper, Wyoming and they have made Albuquerque their home since 1989. Surviving are her husband of 20 years, Doug; her four year old daughter, Maria; her sister, Sherian Spencer of San Diego, CA; her brother, Scott, and his wife, Amy Spencer of Winston-Salem, N.C.; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and two uncles. Shella was a devoted wife and mother, and an educator for the Albuquerque Public Schools. As a life long learner and teacher who inspired children, colleagues and friends, she was recognized by the local community with various educational and community awards. Shella was a member of Paradise Hills United Methodist Church, and recently elected Vice-President of Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority. Her other interests included fly fishing, camping, reading and cycling. Shella was a passionate New York Yankees fan. Celebration of her life will be held Wednesday June 7, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church 314 Lead SW, with her Pastor David Snyman, officiating, Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel.
