Christa Lee Sauerman, 26 of Alameda, CA, died Sunday evening, May 28, 2006 in a motor vehicle accident in Las Cruces, NM. She was the wife of Bryan Sauerman and the daughter of Marlan Ball and Rachel Archer of Albuquerque, NM. Christa attended Kraybill Mennonite School in Mount Joy, PA until sixth grade, when she moved with her parents to Albuquerque. She graduated from Highland High School and was employed by State Farm Insurance. In March 2006, she married and transferred to Alameda where her husband is stationed in the Coast Guard. Christa is survived by her husband; her parents; her paternal grandfather, Virgil Ball of Pickford, MI; and her maternal grandparents, Jay and Anita Wolgemuth of Mount Joy, PA. A viewing will begin on Monday, June 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at the French Mortuary Chapel on Wyoming Boulevard, with Service to follow at 11:00. Christa will be interred at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, for which Christa volunteered as an advocate.
