Barbara J. Mourning, age 68, of Albuquerque, went to be with her Lord and her family Sunday, May 28, 2006. Barbara was born and raised in Lubbock, TX to Charles and Lonnie Stevenson. She was a long-time resident of Denver, CO, and Hobbs, NM. Her family meant everything to her. She was always there for her family whenever she was needed. She not only raised her own family, but helped raise her grandchildren. Barbara always put the needs of others in front of her own needs. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Barbara is survived by her son, Dan Mourning and his wife, Giovanna of Albuquerque; daughter, Michelle Mourning of Austin; grandchildren, Tiffany Bishop, Mia Mourning, Nicholas Mourning, Chad Funk; great-granddaughter, Kendyl Aleman; brother, Lloyd Stevenson and his wife, Jamie; sister, Rose Marie Roybal. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Mourning; brother, D.L. Stevenson; sister, Anne Aultman and husband, Floyd; granddaughter, Megan Bishop. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 3, 2006 at French Mortuary Westside Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Todd Cook officiating.
