Luther K. Horning, 64, an Albuquerque resident since 1962, died Friday, May 26, 2006 in Lone Tree, CO. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Ann Horning of Albuquerque; son, Mark Horning and wife, Misty of Albuquerque; daughter, Barbara Spencer and husband, Alan of Albuquerque; granddaughters, Kristen Horning, Ashley Westcott, Maya Spencer, and Emily Spencer, all of Albuquerque; sister, Kay Otto and husband, Duane of Naples, FL; brother, Mark Horning and wife, Marlene of Chicago, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Hilda Horning. Luther retired from Sandia Labs after 33 years of service. He was the owner of Southwest Music, Inc., Bally Dun Celtic Treasures in Albuquerque and Southwest Church Organs in Denver, CO. Luther had a lifelong love for classic cars and drag racing. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2006 at Faith Lutheran Church, 10000 Spain NE, with Pastor Bruce Wilder, officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, on Thursday, June 1, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Should friends desire, memorial contributions may be made to NM Cancer Center Foundation, 4901 Lange Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109.
