Patrocino Torrez, 90, passed away at his home in Belen on May 26, 2006 after a short, but hard fight against cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mela Torrez and one great-grandson. He is survived by son, Ernest Torres and wife, Bernadette; daughter, Heidi Garcia and husband, John; grandchildren, Evelyn Moore and husband, Gary, Henery Torres, and wife, Debbie, Carla Gonzales and husband Ernest, Monica Bartley and husband Greg, Suzanne Torres, Andy Garcia and companion, Deb Chavez, Patrick Garcia and wife, Donna, Ruth Flowers and husband, Emmett, Lisa Larkin and husband, Bill; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Augustine Torrez and wife, Leonor; sisters, Stella Chavez, Sophie Caistro; sister-in-law, Virginia Torrez and companion, Maryann Contereas; other family and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church on Thursday, June 1, 2006, with Rosary recited at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Mass at 9 a.m. His remains will be interred at Our Lady of Belen Cemetery.
