Obituary for YAZZIE

Steve Yazzie, 53, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died suddenly on Tuesday, May 16, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; son, Steven Yazzie; step-daughters, Krista and Jill; mother, Joan Yazzie; grandparents, Jerry and Lucy Suazo; siblings, Jeri Lynn and her husband, Owen, Robert Yazzie and his wife, Sonja, and Debbie Yazzie; mother-in-law, Christine Yeatter; in-laws, Karen and Jimmie Lynn; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Mr. Yazzie was preceded in death by his father, Monroe Yazzie. He worked at the NNSA for 32 years. Mr. Yazzie was an active volunteer for 18 years with the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, serving as the 1st Native American Balloonmeister in 1999 and 2000. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel.
