Ivan Allen Moore, Jr., 87, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday May 7, 2006. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. Ivan and his late wife Clarice Ann Garehime, made their home in Rio Communities in Belen since 1986. They spent 53 wonderful years together. Ivan grew up in Danville,Illinois to Ivan Allen Moore, Sr., and Margaret Louise Morgan. Ivan was a highly accomplished and respected mechanical and atomic engineer. He retired from Dow Chemical and Rockwell International in Boulder, Colorado in 1985. He was also a part of the Apollo Project at White Sands Missile Range. Ivan is survived by his children: William Thomas Moore, VanAnn Moore Nyberg, Patricia Lee Moses, Dotty Williams, and David Allen Moore; sisters Dorothy Schnulle, and Marge Maden; five grandchildren and four great grand children. A memorial service will be held Monday, May 15th at First Presbyterian Church in Belen at 11:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Albuquerque.
