JOHN JOSEPH Funeral Mass for John Joseph Sarkis, 69, was scheduled for Saturday, May 6, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Lovington, NM with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Interment will be at the Lovington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Born January 2, 1937 at Aliquippa, PA, he passed away May 4, 2006, at Mt. View Hospital, Las Cruces, NM. He was of the Catholic Faith. Survivors include his son, Michael Sarkis and wife, Karen of Lovington, NM; daughter, Joyce Ann Jones and husband, Michael of Las Cruces, NM; brother, Albert Sarkis Jr. of California; two sisters, Afifa Yanchik of Aliquippa, PA, and Zora Sandor of Walnut Creek, CA; five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Sadie Sarkis; two brothers, Charles and Anthony Sarkis.
