Obituary for REITER

Earl A. Reiter, 88, passed away on May 9, 2006. Earl was born in Penfield, PA on August 28, 1917, the son of Walter M. and Clara (Bonnett) Reiter. He had been a resident of Albuquerque since the 1950s. Earl had a long career in the Air Force and fought during WWII in the South Pacific. Upon retirement from the military, he spent many years working at Spartan Southwest. He enjoyed the outdoors, an avid hunter and fisherman. Using his own hand-tied flies, he never caught a trout under 12". Earl loved gardening, a good game of cribbage, bridge and golf. Earl will be remembered lovingly by his family and friends and will remain in our hearts forever. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Kay Reiter; children, Patricia Wolf of Sacramento, CA, Robert Reiter of Rio Rancho, NM, and Mark Reiter of Eden Prairie MN; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 12, 2006 at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
