Frayda J. Oston, 67, died April 29, 2006, after a short illness. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. on March 14, 1939, and later moved to Massachusetts, where she lived for 25 years. She resided in Albuquerque since 1990. Frayda wore many "red hats" well. She was at times a scientist, an administrator, and a business executive. She worked in various fields from mental health to flue-making. She was a gourmet cook and opera buff. She volunteered for hospice, the Samaritans, The Women's Shelter, and The United Way. She loved her family, the Sandias, and chocolate. Frayda is remembered by her children: Ellice andJavan; her step daughters, Heidi, & Shauneen; her sister, Jarede, and her cherished grandchildren, Tivon and Galen, Shannon, Ryan, and Samantha, Cheyenne, Savannah, and Dakota, Kaylee, and Shelby. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at the Chester T. French Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd., NE (505) 823-9400
