Obituary for GONZALES

Claudio (Claude) Gonzales, 83, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006 surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 24, 1923, a son of Francisco and Inez Carillo Gonzales. He married Lucy Muller, January 12, 1948, in Lamy, NM. Claudio was a second generation railroader with a 40-year career between Santa Fe and Amtrak Railroads. He served in the Army during WWII. He was preceded in death by his son, Edward B. Gonzales and daughter in-law, Elizabeth Sanchez Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Lucy; his children, Claudio LeRoy Gonzales and wife, Anita, Diana Vallejos and husband, Roger, Terry Suarez, Robert Gonzales and wife, Veronica, Clyde Gonzales, and Barbara Padilla and husband, Albert; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass will be celebrated, Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Josephs on the Rio Grande Catholic Church 5901 St. Joseph Dr. NW. Holy Rosary will be recited Monday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel. Ennichement will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery Tuesday at 1:30 PM. Pallbearers include: Roger Vallejos, Joseph Gonzales, Estevan Gonzales, John Paul Gonzales, Christopher Gonzales, Adrian Gonzales, and Marcus Vallejos. French Mortuary 9300 Golf Course Rd.
