Edward D. Brittenham (Maj. AUS Ret.) November 1, 1922 - April 25, 2005 82 years he walked this earth, Lived a life for what it's worth, Raised a family to carry on, Now his time has come and gone. A year ago he left this world, No trumpets played, no flags unfurled. But an oak tree grows in Matheson Park Where we grew up, an appropriate mark. We talked about it many times, The day he'd leave us all behind. "Now don't be sad, I can't wait to go. So many things I want to know." We said goodbye, we sent him on, Every sunset is another dawn. I'm thankful for the time we had, He was my friend, he was my dad.
