Obituary for OVERSON

Ronald Ray Overson, 63, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 20, 2006. He was born on February 18, 1943 in National City, California. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Sharon Lee Overson; his mother, Ila Overson of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Stacey Renay Pacheco and Tricia Ann Delicino and husband, Anthony, all of Albuquerque; two grandsons, Ronald Ray and Tristian; sister, Carolyn Yoss and husband, Charles of Las Vegas, NV; brothers, Michael Overson and wife, Pamela of Overton, NV, Dwane Overson and Frank Overson and wife, Donna, all of Moriarty, NM; numerous nieces, nephews and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Overson. Ron served four years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the aircraft carrier, USS Lexington. His greatest honor was serving his family and his country. Ron was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He built two Harley's, one of which is the first custom 1948 Panhead ever built. He was a proud resident of the South Valley and was loved by his community for he knew no strangers. His distinct smile and laugh will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Services will be held on Monday, April 24, 2006, at 11:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Visitation was held at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
