Obituary for PADILLA

SIGFREDO N. Mr. Sigfredo N. Padilla, 89, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving family on April 15, 2006. Mr. Padilla is the beloved husband to Erlinda, married for 68 years. He is also survived by his children, Anastacio Padilla and wife, Dolores, Joan Anderson, Joseph Padilla and wife, Martha, Martha Chavez and husband, Frank, Art Padilla,and Donise Caro; one sister, Mary Sandoval; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members and friends. Mr. Padilla was a member of the Catholic Church and a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. Visitation for Mr. Padilla will be Wednesday afternoon in the Gabaldon Memorial Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 562 Atrisco SW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Monica Chavez. Final visitation will be Thursday morning from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. with Military Honors by the United States Army. Pallbearers will be Ricardo Padilla, Frank S. Chavez, Stanley Anderson, Ronald Padilla, Ramon Trujillo, and Eddie Padilla. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Padilla and Johnny Trujillo.
