Harry M. Steffy, 85, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on April 6, 2006. Harry was born in Ephrata, PA on June 17, 1920. He fell in love and married Alegra Kilhefner in 1938 and has been happily married for 67 years. He is the father of Larry, Linda, and Janet. Harry was preceded in death by his daughter, Linda F. Hanson in 2001. Today they are with our Lord, watching over our family, wife, Alegra; son, Larry and Liz; daughter, Janet and Robert Delgado; along with eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. Harry and his family moved to Albuquerque in 1957. He retired from the Atomic Energy Commission in 1975. He was a man that brought joy to all who knew him. He loved to deer hunt (this was the only time that he would cook), build things with his hands, and be with his family. He will be deeply missed. Service will be held at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. with Jim Thompson, officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 7500 Paseo del Norte NE. Pallbearers will be son-in-law, Robert Delgado; grandsons, Mike Hanson, Mark Hanson, Eric Steffy, Aaron Steffy, Catron Steffy, Andy Delgado, and grandson-in-law, Robert Urias. Honorary pallbearers will be Harry's granddaughters, Marion Steffy and Mindy Urias. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's name to, Ambercare Hospice, 5100 Indian School Rd., Albuquerque, NM 87110.
