Paul (John Paul), 64, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 12 years, and formally from Santa Fe, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 2, 2006. Paul was born October 2, 1941 the son of Jose O. and Helen Trujillo in El Rito, NM. He retired after 29 years as an educator with the Santa Fe Public Schools and moved to Rio Rancho. Paul was a devoted husband, son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was a member of the Spanish Choir at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish for a number of years. Paul was preceded in death by his father, Jose; brother, Timothy; brothers-in-law, Abel Lerma and Daniel E. Valdez; father-in-law, Juan D. Lopez; mother-in-law, Senaida U. Lopez; and god-daughter, Gladys Stapp-Mandel. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years of marriage, Irma; sons, Michael Paul and girlfriend, June Pederson, Randy and wife, Ramona; grandchildren, Miranda Nicole, J.T.(John Paul), Annise Maria and Christiana Miquela; mother, Helen Trujillo; four sisters, Margaret Trujillo of Santa Fe, Lydia Lerma of Albuquerque, Juanita Torrez and husband, Robert of Albuquerque, and Yvonne Trujillo of Albuquerque; seven brothers, Jose O., Jr. and wife, Irma of El Paso, TX, Arturo and wife, Rosa of Las Cruces, Andres and wife, Susan of Canjilon, Eudoro and wife, Eppie of Albuquerque, Wilfred and wife, Angelica of Las Cruces, Rudy and wife, Marta of Mesquite, Gilbert Trujillo and Jane Aguilar of Albuquerque; sisters-in-law, Rosie Valdez of Lumberton, Cleo Stapp and husband, Roy of Albuquerque, and Peggy Marie Lopez and Elmer Marquez of Albuquerque; 38 nieces and nephews; and 46 great-nieces and -nephews. The Rosary for Paul will be recited this evening, Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with the Mass of Resurrection being celebrated on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
