Raymond W. Hickam, 76, passed away on March 28, 2006, after a prolonged illness. He was born April 17, 1929, in Pennington, NM, and graduated from Springer High School in 1947. Raymond retired from the City of Albuquerque Parks and Recreation Department in July 1991. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Edna; son, Charles Hickam and wife, Patricia Shuman; daughter, Suzanne Hoefel and husband, David; grandsons, Zachary and Dustin Hoefel; brother, John and wife, Shirley Hickam; brother, Al Hickam; sister, Rose Harper and husband, Perry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his father and mother, H.B. and Helen Hickam; sister, Mildred Johnson; and brother, Jim Hickam. Memorial Services will be held Thursday, April 6, 2006, 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution NE, with Dr. Roy Elmore officiating.
