Rene Rivas, age 50, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006. He was a loving husband, father, and friend who will be dearly missed. Rene lived in El Paso, TX for most of his life and moved to Albuquerque in 1998. Preceded in death by his father, Roberto Rivas, Rene is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann Rivas; his mother, Louisa Rivas; his brother, Bobby Rivas; his children, Jessica Rivas, Joshua, Joseph, Justin, and Hope; two grandchildren; many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Rene was a great man who will always live in our hearts and memories. A time of viewing and visitation will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services on Friday, March 31, 2006 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Heart Association, Pacific Mountain Affiliate, 710 2nd Ave. Suite 900, Seattle, WA. 98104.
