Anthony B. Narbutas, MD, 93, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ona and son, Paulius Narbutas and wife, Dalia; his sister, Emilija, in Lithuania with nieces, nephews, and other numerous relatives in Illinois. He was preceded in death by his son, Augius. Anthony was born in Rokiskis, Lithuania and completed his medical degree in Kaunas, Lithuania in 1939. He came to the U.S. with his family in 1949 where he began to practice medicine in Illinois. Anthony spent a long career as a physician in VA Hospitals in Missouri, New Mexico, and California until his retirement in New Mexico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 27, 2006, 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, with Father Antonio Mondragon, Celebrant.
