Obituary for HELLMUND

Virginia Thompson Hellmund, 93, peacefully passed away at home with her family at her side, on Saturday, March 11, 2006. Virginia was born October 21, 1912, the daughter of Fred and Gertrude Berry, in Indianapolis, IN. She was a loving mother and friend to all. She loved her church and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and helping others. Virginia also enjoyed camping and rock collecting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russel Hellmund; sister, Louise Berry; and brother, Jack Berry. Virginia is survived by four children, Marsha Slover and husband, James of Albuquerque, Linda Payne of Albuquerque, Jimmy Hellmund of Albuquerque, and Paul Hellmund and wife, Joan of Shelburne Falls, MA; seven beloved grandchildren, Jon Slover, Patricia Payne, Charlie Slover and wife, Chiara, Erin Hoffman and husband, Adam, Robbie Slover, Andy Hellmund, and Noah Hellmund; and two precious great-grandsons, Christofer Hoffman and James Slover; one sister, Betty Beeson of Indiana; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Mitchell of Colorado. The family would like to thank Presbyterian Hospital and Hospice for their loving care. Private services have been held.
