Obituary for FRENCH

Bruce French, a native of Albuquerque, passed away suddenly in his sleep on March 13, 2006. Bruce was born on November 10, 1949. Bruce always lived life to the fullest. From building his own dune buggies from scratch to fabricating fine furniture he was an artist. Bruce had a wide variety of hobbies which he did with zeal and perfection. While Bruce was a member of the New Mexico Sailing Club he enjoyed going through a variety of different sail boats. He took lessons on the sea in California and raced his J-80 around the SW and Florida. Bruce could paint pictures or photograph people and nature with the practiced eye of a fine artist. He enjoyed developing his own film. He was a licensed electrician with his own firm in Albuquerque. Bruce will be loved and missed by his family. He was very close to his grandchildren and took special delight in reading, photographing and playing with them. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife, Blake; his daughter, Sharon Griffin; son, Brian French; his mother, Dorothy Isburgh; Pete Isburgh; his brother, Steve (Kathy) French; his sister, Deidre French; and his brother, Gregg French; and his grandchildren, Isabel and P.J. Griffin and their father, Craig Griffin. He also survived by his mother-in-law, Sara Vogel; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Robert Bruce French.
