Dorothy Hess Ferrand, 91, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2006. Dorothy was born June 1, 1914 to Arthur and Maude Hess in New Straitsville, OH. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Lawrence Hess. She is survived by her loving husband, Richard R. Ferrand of Rio Rancho; one daughter, Jane Fritz; two grandchildren, Elisabeth and Erik; two great-grandchildren, Mariah and Erin; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Dorothy's name to one's favorite charity.
