Obituary for YOUNGBLOOD

Madge A. Youngblood, 84, died peacefully at home with her family Thursday, March 9, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John Paul Youngblood, Sr. of the family home; son, John Paul Youngblood, Jr. and wife Terri of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Peggy Turner and husband Doug of Albuquerque, NM; daughter, Janet Franchini and companion, Wayne Hand of Albuquerque, NM; seven grandchildren, Paula Foster and husband, Bruce, Cara Cress and companion, Scott Sample, Chris Youngblood and wife, Monica, Greg and Kelly Youngblood, Scott, David, and Joey Franchini; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Ian Kuhns and Jacquie Lorenz and husband, Ray all of Colorado. Madge was born February 25, 1922 in Arvada, Colorado. She was a graduate of the University of Denver with a degree in Early Childhood Development. Mrs. Youngblood taught school in Albuquerque from 1962 until she retired in 1986. She was also a Docent at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History. Madge loved to play bridge and developed many long lasting friendships while doing so, but her greatest love was her family. Memorial Services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2006, 1:00 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Road NE.
