John Leija, 69, passed away. He is preceded in death by his parents Lucio and Augustina Leija; and five siblings. Mr. Leija obtained the rank of Staff Sergeant serving in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Clarita Leija; children, Mabel T. Padilla, John Larry Leija, David Mark Leija, James Leija, Bruce Leija, Kenneth Leija, Abel Leija, and Leila Leija; 15 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Felicia, Robert, Gabriella, Jessica, Angelo, and Marcus. Honorary pallbearers will be Therese, Mario, Monica, Tessa, Valerie, Joel, Quanah, Rafael, Brianna, Gabriel, Antonio, and Kenneth. A Rosary will be recited on Sunday, March 5, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Arrangements by: Salazar & Sons Mortuary 400 Third St. SW 247-4124
