Higinio Candelaria, age 94, passed away at home on Thursday, March 2, 2006. He was born on February 19, 1912. He was a lifelong resident of San Antonito in the East Mountains. He is preceded in death by his wife Lillian that passed away on September 3, 2004. He is survived by his four children, Concie Chavez and husband Julian, Solano Candelaria, Solomon Candelaria and Bernardino Candelaria and wife Flora; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren A Rosary will be recited on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Church in San Antonio, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the San Antonito Church in San Antonito, NM. Burial will follow at the San Antonito Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Sanchez, Danny Candelaria, Bernardo Chavez, Larry Perea, Bob Abery and Anthony Moya. Services are in the care of: GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
