Gertrude N. Helmer passed away February 25, 2006 in Albuquerque. She was born June 6, 1911 to John and Mae Finley in Joplin, MO. Mrs. Helmer was preceded in death by her son, Michael; three husbands, Emory Mathews, Charles McHugh, and Richard Helmer; a sister, Mary Ramsey; and two brothers, John Finley, and Charles Carskaddon. She is survived by a nephew and three nieces; a grand-niece and four grand-nephews. Mrs. Helmer was retired from Albuquerque Tribune and active with the Irish-American Club and Cub Scouts. No services are planned.
