Willie Smith, age 76, a resident of Albuquerque for 58 years, passed away on February 20, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Adell Smith; sons, Clarence Lee Smith, William A. Smith and wife, Carolyn, Steven Smith and wife, Linda; daughters, Pamela Davis and husband, Robert, Valerie "Khadijah" Smith and husband, Paul; sister Ruby Rand; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Willie was an Electrician for 15 years at Sandia Labs; following that employment he started his own business as Reliable Electrical Contractors. Willie was a devoted member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where he was ordained as a deacon. A visitation will be held on Saturday February 25, 2006 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church 1509 Edith SE, Albuquerque, NM. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Bryce Smith, Mario Lara, Marques Smith, and Richard Davis, great-nephews: Joseph D. Banks, Whitney Banks, and Dominic Banks. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Robert Sparks Jr., Alfred Sawyers Sr., B.P. Powdrell, Taylor Waiters, Grady Young, Arnold "Chump" Allen Sr., Oscar Jones, Bob Lewis, and Leo Vasquez.
