Alvin John West, 91, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, February 17, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eleanor M. West of Albuquerque; sons, Donald West of California and Bruce L. West and wife, Mida; daughter, Carol Lee West, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Carl Ward-Hersee and wife, Linda, Robert Ward-Hersee, Sr., and Bryce L. West; great-grandsons, Robert Ward-Hersee, Jr., Brian and Brandon Ward-Hersee; brothers, Kenneth West and wife, Pauline of Oklahoma City, OK and Bill West and wife, Juanita of Edmund, OK; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. West served in the United States Navy, during World War II. Services will be held at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will take place immediately following the services.
