Obituary for GOBER

LaVena "Fay" Gober. The Gober Family Circle of friends, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were at the bedside of LaVena Fay Gober, 94, Friday, February 17, 2006, when our Lord Jesus Christ came to take her to be with her husband of 54 years, James L. Gober, who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Jay L. Gober and wife, Anne and Joe L. Gober and wife, Donna; grandchildren, Heidi, Christi and husband, Darryl, Christopher and wife, Josslyn, Mikki, Kimberly and husband, Michael, Jayson; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Brendan, Abbey, Brenna, Larenza, and Lowell; sister-in-law, Clara Kuhn and husband, Fred; and a special friend of LaVena, Val Hart. Mrs. Gober was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Cedar Crest. She also taught Sunday School at First Congregational Church for many years. Mrs. Gober touched many lives through her interests in Square Dancing, Antiquing, and supporting the Friends of District Six Volunteer Fire Department. One of her greatest joys was nurturing her family and watching them grow. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Should friends desire, contributions may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, P.O.
