Obituary for MOYERS

Neva A. Moyers, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1962, died Monday, February 13, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Moyers Sr.; daughter, Joanne Cotter and husband, Paul of Lubbock, TX; sons, William Moyers Jr. and wife, Kim of Santa Fe, Charles Moyers and wife, Joyce of Albuquerque, and John Moyers and wife, Terri of Santa Fe; grandchildren, William David Rowland and wife, Robin of Kansas City, KS, Melody Kerr and husband, David of Tacoma, WA, Alicia Stevens, and Jeffrey Moyers both of Santa Fe, Evan Kolberg and Jared Moyers, both of Albuquerque, and Joshua Moyers of Santa Fe; great-granddaughters, Evelyn and Mary Grace Kerr of Tacoma, WA. Mrs. Moyers was a graduate of Adams State College in Alamosa, CO. She served as a Naval Officer for the entire Second World War. She worked as a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operation of his art business. Mrs. Moyers was awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Adams State College along with her husband in 1992. She was a long time member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church. Services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Interment will take place on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N. Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, NM 87501. Pallbearers will be William Moyers Jr., Charles Moyers, John Moyers, and Paul Cotter.
