Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Wednesday February 15, 2006

PATRICIA ALICE. A late Christmas present to Alice McBride Insley and Thomas Insley, Patricia Alice Insley was born on December 26, 1926 in Santa Fe, NM. She left us peacefully on February 13, 2006 after a short illness. Her corporate world was with the State of New Mexico working for the vital statistics department. After a fulfilling career she enjoyed retirement. "Pat" leaves behind a legacy of new wildlife watchers and lovers. Her first love was mineral collecting. This toured her around looking at all of the beauty that nature offered leading her to a second love and that was birds. She was an avid bird watcher and an incredible teacher. Working with both Randall Davey Audubon and the Wildlife Center, she taught the love of life around us and all that it offered. She will be missed but is guiding all the furred and feathered on field trips in her new life. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. at Berardinelli Family Chapel with Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Randall Davey Audubon Center, Upper Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM; The Wildlife Center, POB 246, Espanola, NM 87532 Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505 984-8600.
